Washing your face less than twice a day can leave you having an oily skin. While washing your face more than 2 times a day can leave your skin dry and unhealthy. Too much of something is also bad, as they would say.
However, if you have an oily skin or you are active in sports that you tend to sweat a lot, you can wash your face up to 2 times a day, as long as you wash away all the dirt and oil in your face.
When you wash your face, make sure to use a good facial soap approved by your dermatologist. There are different types of soaps available for the skin depending on your skin. The temperature of the water when you wash is also important.
Washing your face with warm water or with a hot towel will help in preventing acne formation. It will open the pores of your skin and release all the dirt and oil inside.
Do not let anything unclean touch your face such as pillowcases, handkerchief or even your hair. Make sure you use clean pillowcases and handkerchief on your face. Also, wash your hair daily. Your hair can be cause of the acne formation because it usually touches your face. Also, the oil on your hair can transfer on your face.
Drink lots of water to cleanse all the toxic off your face and skin. Having a hydrated skin is a lot better than a dehydrated skin. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day will always do the trick. Water has wonderful effects on only on the skin, but also to the entire body.
Aside from water, eating the right kind of foods and having a balanced diet everyday will also help in preventing acne formation. Stay away from salty and oily foods because this increases the risk of acne formation.
Also, you would need to avoid eating junk foods because these foods contain a lot of salt in their ingredients. Soda beverage should also be avoided and drink water instead. Include fruits that contain Vitamin C in your diet every meal such as oranges, kiwi, raw broccoli.
